I support strong restrictions on immigration (like every other developed country) and universal health care (like every other developed country).

I recognize a basic economic fact: “You can have open borders, or you can have a welfare state; you can’t have both.” — Milton Friedman

What does that make me? Liberal or conservative?

So far you sound like a liberal, but how do you feel about guns and abortions?

The terms are extremely obsolete now. It's just tribal instincts to place people in groups by belief systems. It's just a stereotype we love to put on people. If you're a liberal, you drive a Prius with a boatload of Bernie stickers and shop at Whole Foods. If you're a conservative, you drive a Ford F-150 and shop at WalMart. It's quite irrelevant. People have a hard time living without a political home. Just be who you want to be. Who cares, and who should?

You don't need to have a label. You can be liberal on some issues that are important to you and conservative on others that are equally important. It's not all or nothing. It's about what you think is right.

I’m pretty agnostic on both of those. I’m ok with people owning small guns and ok with early term abortion.

Does it matter? Why put yourself in a box?

Agree, but there is a problem: I have no political party that represents my views.
