We are all about state's rights and individuality. Except when Republicans are in office. Then they love federal control.

You are really going to lose your collective ****, when you finally figure out the Feds govern the States, not the people directly.

Ok. Because states control their own vehicle licensing departments which follows the state's laws, not federal. This is because of the 10th Amendment to the Constitution.

Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

Since Trump took office, quite a bit of power the Feds had no authority to even be involved in, has been returned to the states, or the people.

You want the federal government to issue the license plates and drivers licenses? Because the states would not be able to issue USA license plates. And if you think the lines are long now at your motor vehicle office think how it would be when the feds handle it. And imagine the fees when congress will be in charge of deciding them.
