Always nice to have an intellectual person in campaign mode!

Quote:
WASHINGTON — Barack Obama will significantly raise his profile in the coming months as he campaigns for Democrats in the November midterm elections but he is unlikely to take on President Donald Trump more directly, allies of the former president said.

The two-term Democratic president is planning to re-emerge as a regular fixture at fundraisers and on the campaign trail after Labor Day, but will continue to strive for an above-the-fray style, said the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss emerging strategy.

Avoiding direct confrontation with his successor — not to mention the bombast on Twitter that would inevitably follow — will give Obama more room to maneuver in states like Ohio, Florida and Pennsylvania that Trump won in 2016 but that are now home to competitive Senate races featuring Democratic incumbents.

Trump was correct when he said that if he ran in 2012 Barack would have been a "one term president".

Barack Obama likely to avoid direct combat with Trump
He doesn't need to combat tRump.

tRump's mindless followers hate him and always have, so nothing he says would ever register with them, anyway.

All he has to do is make some appearances and emphasize issues that appeal to most voters (like income inequality) and avoid the stupid fringe issues that Dems seem unable to shut up about. tRump has generated plenty of opposition on his own. "There is never a need to attack an enemy who is destroying himself."

It'll be interesting to see if the Dems have learned anything from their epic defeats in recent years.

Their current crap about "abolish ICE" leads me to think the answer is "no."

We'll see.

Is Barry going to drive on stage with his golf cart like a Bob Hope USO show?
Cracking jokes about Hope & Change that he never delivered on?
That American's aren't exceptional ?
We or you didn't build that?
Barry had his 8 years of shame and American's don't want more of the same ... Can you smell what the Barack is cooking?
Sorry Socialism for dummies 101...

I'm just glad Obama is still taking up residence in so many Trumplings' heads. All it takes is a mere mention of him and they go berserk, as evidenced by the responses in this thread.

Gotta wonder exactly why that is.

If Obama is promoting someone, I'm likely voting third party in that race.

What you just said is why the DemocRats are in the situation they are in by insulting the average voter ... Barry suxs and it shows the left and socialist media just can't except the fact Trump is doing a better job in a shorter time than their God on Earth Barack Hussein Obama.

Obama who? Oh, that guy that drove the country into the ground and made us the laughing stock of foreign policy for 8 years. Good thing Trump has cancelled out the few things he half-ass did and calls "his legacy" in just his first year.

Had to deal with him for 8, so now you get to deal with an American's president for 6 more years .

Obama is just so far superior to Trump in every way imaginable. Trump is a lying narcissistic bigot unfit for the office he holds. He is a disgrace and stain on America and its ideals.
