What a disgrace.

Look, I can understand why many in our society want to try alternative methods to sentencing, etc. Indeed, as things stand now, prison often does little more than harden and teache criminals new crimes (in addition to keeping them off the street and providing three full meals a day, recreation time, television, etc.). That said, this is an outcome that cannot be fixed/wished away by letting violent criminals out onto the street with nothing else. If we aren't willing to actually commit the hard work to rehabilitating these criminals (and we are not . . . not that this was an appropriate case to even try to do so), these pie in the sky ideas need to die a quick and painful death.

Shame on this judge. Sadly, the judge will likely stay employed for as long as the law allows given the partisan bent of the area this took place in.

Care to point out where the cited article mentions the judge's political affiliation or should it just be labeled Fake News! ?

I predict this kind of thing is going to happen more and more often. We are unfortunately going through a soft on crime period right now. There are many people and organizations out there who love criminals and want them out of prison. This is a shame because having the highest incarceration rate in the world was a smashing success as our crime rate plummeted because of it.

Oh wait, this is rich. From the CV, here is an award she got in 2007;

"The St. Thomas More Award, St. Thomas More Society, Inc., 2007"

Here is the St Thomas More Society:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_More_Society

"The Thomas More Society is a conservative pro-life law firm based in Chicago.

Their website describes them as "a not-for-profit, national public interest law firm dedicated to restoring respect in law for life, family, and religious liberty." The Thomas More Society defends and fosters support for these causes by providing pro bono legal services from local trial courts to the United States Supreme Court."

Methinks the OP has egg in his face.

So the judge let him go into Gwendolyn Sands’ home rather than send him to an adult prison. I can understand the mindset, since Sands promised she would make sure the guy would be subject to a strict home environment and encouraged to get employment skills and be monitored 24/7, but it appears that she made a lot of promises that she didn’t keep. What’s her story?

Hmm, there are (at least) two organizations with that name. It could be this one instead:

Still, that one is affiliated with the Catholic Church, which isn't necessarily something you'd associate with your typical liberal.

They're always doing this in Milwaukee, releasing felons in possession of illegal firearms, then they go around and demand "more gun laws" when they aren't even enforcing the existing laws.

They seem to take delight in robbing law abiding citizens of their rights while giving criminals the benefit of the doubt. It's just one reason I can't stomach voting democrat.

A couple of weeks ago in Minnesota a sexual predator was released by a scumbag liberal judge. He was rated highly likely to reoffend and had a long history. He immediately kidnapped and raped a beautiful young mother of 4 children.

The liberal ideology needs to be rooted out of education, government and all leadership positions like the enemy of America that it is, until the ideology is gone forever.
