But why? Didn't Obama say that Chicago is a model city for gun control? Why would they want to "fix" that?

Chicago voted for Clinton.

However, desperate times call for desperate measures.

Obama failed his home city. He still wants them to pay for his library (or cultural center or whatever it is) though...

the problem though is that federal solutions dont work, it needs to be a local solution to the problems of chicago, and that starts with the people that are elected to local office.

Have you seen their local government? They probably wish they could call on local help, but it's too corrupt. At this point - Trump is probably their best option for a quick solution. But you are right - long term solutions have to be dealt with locally.

you are right, the local government is quite corrupt, but the people of chicago are the ones that need to make the changes, and they are the ones that need to make the local government straighten up and do their jobs properly. you can run the feds in all you want, but when the feds leave, chicago will be right back where it was before they came in.

You can be sure that the majority of people in Chicago do, in fact, hate Trump.

Southside Chicagoans are tired of the record breaking weekend gun shootouts. Imagine that.

Looks like the Democratic promise to keep their constituents safe just isn't working.

Oh yeah...a new Trump tower and golf course should do it.
If he's smart he won't go there on his many golf trips.
