I wish that were true. Worker cooperatives are the future.

Nobody is stopping anyone from operating a business as a worker owned cooperative in America’s capitalist system .

They exist in America . We just don’t want to be forced to have every business be a worker owned cooperative.

First she’s a social democrat, not a socialist.

Secondly Ben is a horrible human being, read about his worldview, he sees every issue as an excuse to fight for the establishment. Police violence, the war on drugs, the war on terror, imperialism, corporatism, he passionately defends them all.

Translation: corporations should control labor and therefore the distribution of wealth.

Matched by the gullibility of Trump supporters which is SKY high!

Unemployment rates don't show the full picture plus are skewed because labor participation rate is down and only people actively looking for jobs are counted in the unemployment rate.

Quote:
More people have given up on finding work and therefore are no longer counted as either working or unemployed. That's why the unemployment rate keeps dropping. It isn't the underlying strength of the economy that reaches all levels of society. The number of jobs might be keeping rough pace with the growth of the population, but that is it. There is no broad economic cheer.

But despite the strong labor market, wage growth has lagged economists’ expectations. In fact, despite some ups and downs over the past several decades, today’s real average wage (that is, the wage after accounting for inflation) has about the same purchasing power it did 40 years ago. And what wage gains there have been have mostly flowed to the highest-paid tier of workers.

and re: North Korea

Quote:
National security adviser John Bolton said Tuesday that North Korea has not made progress toward denuclearization in a dismal acknowledgment that comes nearly two months after President Trump held a historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore.

In case you missed it, I'll note that comment was made the Trump's National Security Advisor John Bolton. We are no safer now than we were before Trump's boastful lies.

If the workers own the corporation (and in some cases they most assuredly do), then how can that possibly be a problem?

Of course, once the workers become owners, they start seeing things from an immeasurably broader perspective than the one to which you yourself are accustomed.

Maybe that's the problem you're having.

Lol this is too funny . Socialist starlet Ocasio-Cortez just posted this to her twitter account.

She’s comparing Shapiro’s offer to ... cat calling .. this young lady is nuts!

“Just like catcalling, I don’t owe a response to unsolicited requests from men with bad intentions.

And also like catcalling, for some reason they feel entitled to one.”
