And sorry, but I think it's insane to believe that children's don't know if they are in unbearable pain.

I'm not saying that means I'm ok with this - like Catgirl, I think I'm undecided. It's tragic to even think about these things, but also don't know that I would try to force my terminally ill child in constant unbearable pain to keep living if he expressed the desire to put an end to things. I just can't even make my mind go there, and I suspect the parents in these cases felt the same way until they were put in a position of not having any other choice but to consider these decisions.
