The absolutely hilarious part is that you now have the Left rushing to defend the honor of the FBI, CIA, NSA and the rest. The American people have had a very uncomfortable relationship with these intelligence agencies for as long as they've existed. They've been susceptible to massive corruption since they've existed. And the Left is rushing around telling people that it's un-American and treasonous to question anything they do. If memory serves, the Right used to be the ones defending their honor just 15 years ago or so under George W Bush and it was just a stupid then.

I sure as hell don't trust them. Nobody should. They need a lot more oversight and a lot less unfettered power IMHO.

if their private texts then the answer is simple, "judicial watch", a private entity, has no right to them.

again, if they are private texts then a search warrant would be needed. if none has been issued then trump is merely whinning about superceding the judicial branch of government.

trump and his administration is so corrupt that a federal judge threatened his AG with contempt of court for deporting a family in the middle of their court hearing. The judge made the airplane turn around immediately after landing in Central America.

Can't believe how gullible the Trumpies are. The FBI hasn't changed. Still solid.

It really is time for Trump to declassify and demand the DOJ & FBI hand over records/evidence to congress too.
Trump has stayed out of it to avoid political blowback from Dems and anti Trump GOP in congress but declassifying records and providing sunlight isn't an impeachable offense.

Trump threatens to 'get involved' in fight to obtain McCabe text messages | Fox News

Donald J. Trump

@realDonaldTrump

Why isn’t the FBI giving Andrew McCabe text messages to Judicial Watch or appropriate governmental authorities. FBI said they won’t give up even one (I may have to get involved, DO NOT DESTROY). What are they hiding? McCabe wife took big campaign dollars from Hillary people.....

He should sign an executive order to decriminalize all drugs, and watch the FBI try to actually take him out because he is threatening their bread and butter.

That may be what you think but you provide no clue that's how Trump thinks.

Judicial Watch,
a conservative foundation, fights for accountability and integrity in law, politics and government. Because no one is above the law!

Judicial Watch is doing the work journalism did before it was corrupted by becoming part of the DNC communication branch.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton to discuss the four court cases JW successfully litigated in getting to the truth about the FISA abuse scandal involving the targeting of Donald Trump.

How Were Bruce and Nellie Ohr, Christopher Steele, and Fusion GPS Plotting?
Recently, Republican lawmakers indicated that Bruce Ohr, the former Associate Deputy Attorney General, is becoming more central to their investigation of the soft coup against President Trump. Moreover, newly released emails and memos show that Ohr continued to receive information from former British spy Christopher Steele in 2017 after the FBI had supposedly terminated its relationship with Steele in 2016 for leaking to the media.

The FOIA request is for texts sent/received on government owned equipment, therefore they're not considered private and subject to FOIA requests by any American.

But they don't get the right to have anything turned over TO THEM. I doubt any FOIA will be granted until all investigations are over.

And while you may think they are some upstanding organization, they are Extreme Bias Right Wing site.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/judicial-watch/

Quote:
Bias: Extreme Right, Conspiracy, Propaganda

History

Founded in 1994 by Larry Klayman, Judicial Watch (JW) is an American conservative activist group that files Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuits to investigate alleged misconduct by government officials. They primarily target Democrats such as the Clinton’s, Obama and climate scientists as they label climate science, “fraud science.” Judicial Watch has made numerous false and unsubstantiated claims, with a “vast majority” of their lawsuits dismissed. They describe themselves as “a conservative, non-partisan educational foundation, promotes transparency, accountability and integrity in government, politics and the law.” The current President of JW is Tom Fitton.

Funded by / Ownership

Judicial Watch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with contributions received from individuals, foundations, and corporations. According to Sourcewatch, JW receives funding from prominent right wing organizations such as the Carthage Foundation and Scafie Foundation.

Analysis / Bias

Judicial Watch reports news on their website with the use of strong emotional language that is usually pro-right or anti-left. Common topics covered are anti-immigration, in which they highlight crimes committed by illegal immigrants such as this: Busy Month for Illegal Immigrants Committing Heinous Crimes or dedicating an entire website to exposing former President Obama’s alleged IRS scandal. They have also promoted debunked conspiracy theories such as this. Further, the founder of JW, Larry Klayman recently promoted the conspiracy that the Clinton’s were killing people. In general the majority of content and story selection is anti-left.

A factual search reveals a horrible track record with fact checking. Below is a small sample of their failed fact checks by IFCN fact checkers

DHS Quietly Moving, Releasing ‘Vanloads’ of ‘Illegal Aliens’ Away from Border – FALSE
Has Nancy Pelosi spent $100,000 on food, booze and “partying” during her air travel? – FALSE
Judicial Watch says ISIS operating a camp in Mexico–near El Paso – FALSE
‘Islamic Refugee’ with Gas Pipeline Plans Arrested in New Mexico Border County – FALSE
Did the IRS ‘Fast Track’ Tax-Exempt Status for ‘After School Satan’ Clubs? – FALSE
Overall, we rate Judicial Watch Questionable based on extreme right wing bias, promotion of conspiracy theories and a very poor fact check record. (7/19/2016) Updated (D. Van Zandt 7/23/2018)

Trump has been dirty since he was formed (if you can call that a form) has zero credibility, deserves no respect and is a criminal who hangs out with and appoints the same.
