Trump labeled the news media “the enemy of the American people” a month after taking the oath of office. In the year that followed, a CNN analysis concluded, he used the word “fake” — as in “fake news,” “fake stories,” “fake media” or “fake polls” — more than 400 times. He once fumed, the New York Times reported, because a TV on Air Force One was tuned to CNN.

The rally calls for the opinion writers that staff newspaper editorial boards to produce independent opinion pieces about Trump’s attacks on the media. So far, according to the Associated Press, 70 news organizations have agreed — from large metropolitan daily newspapers such as the Miami Herald and Denver Post to small weekly newspapers with four-digit circulation numbers.
“The problem, of course, is that there is war on the press being conducted by the president of the United States and his supporters. To say otherwise would violate a different commandment. Yes, it’s imperative to keep your cool. It is equally imperative to state what is true.”
‘Not the enemy of the people’: 70 news organizations will blast Trump’s attack on the media

IMO, what they should do, is totally BOYCOTT, THE NON-HUMAN SCUM! Never report ANYTHING on IT!
I would love to see NOTHING REPORTED reported on IT, UNTIL IT'S THROWN OUT OF OUR WHITE HOUSE!

It sounds like they will now confirm they are the enemy for this particular topic. Trump challenged them. They are taking it on. Maybe good reporting will finally come out.

All they have to do is report the news instead of working as a arm of the Democrats! Case solved! They have lost so many viewers they are now starting to worry?

These news channels, that are so offended, spent 24/7 bad mouthing President Trump and now they are crying foul! It is so easy to spot this 'fake' reporting. Turn on these clowns that say they are reporting the news and listen. They spend their whole program on Trump - that isn't news. Everything our President has accomplished has not been bad news. But 95% of their Trump news is negative. He is fighting for the US.

Perhaps the best thing that has come out of this Presidency is the exposure of the corruption of our media. We can now look at them with our eyes open. For years they have deflected criticism and now they cannot hide.

The mainstream media (and their friends in Hollywood also) are liberal. Only the stupid or anyone born yesterday would not know that they would be biased negatively toward conservative/Republicans.

When they are biased and try to negatively slant their coverage against the Right and in favor of the Left, then yes they are the enemy of the people because they are trying to influence public opinion.

Yes; they are attempting to make news instead of reporting news!

You certainly have no problem with Fox being an arm of the Donald Trump Presidency , do you?

You Trumpees need to wake up. The news organizations you are against are comprised of employees who are Democrats, Republicans, Independants, and of no party affiliation whatsoever. Somehow you think that only the Democrats are running these stations, and nothing could be further from the truth.

I realize that it must be upsetting for you to turn on the TV , or pick up some paper or magazine, and see commentaries about things that Donald Trump has done that are questionable, but you have to go to the source. Donald Trump is the one DOING THESE THINGS ! He is his own worst enemy, these are not fabrications, they are what is actually going on.

I know you would love to turn on the TV and see the hosts saying glowing things about Trump , and never questioning anything he has done, but this ain't Russia or China. One of the cornerstones of our Democracy is the freedom to ask questions and make comments about those people in charge. If we were to silence the free press, as Trump would love to do, this would no longer be America. These reporters ask the questions that need asking and they dig for information that some would love to keep hidden.

If you don't like a free press, and do not want to hear bad news, there are a lot of countries that would be right up your alley...……...this ain't one of them.
