Full disclosure. I didn't write the law. I did have to comply with it when I was an environmental supervisor with a large power company task with the collection of bald eagle's killed by power lines. Permit required and I could not keep any feathers or other parts. Let me assure you the wildlife officers made it quite clear what violating the law included. There would be no exception for me.
I have no doubt that is true. My question and my point is, who or what is harmed if someone picks up a discarded Eagle feather?

If a Governor of a state who is a lawyer can't obey the law maybe he could take some action to change it.

Imagine if it was Trump who did what Cuomo did. Mueller would have him face down on the floor in the Oval Office cuffing him. Mueller is looking for any excuse and wouldn't let this one slip by.

My point is : We have come to a point where who is breaking the law is more important than the law being broken. There would be millions of people claiming this is the most necessary and important law ever passed if someone in the Trump admin. admitted to this crime. High crime & misdemeanor and impeachable ? If Cuomo gets a pass we have the answer. So far he hasn't been charged with the crime he has admitted too. That could change. I'll be looking for him in court as the defendant. A fine would be appropriate if found guilty and put the issue up for discussion for the law to be changed.

Did Mueller tell you he was looking for any excuse?

Or you just assume that?

Your point is well taken and has been what it has been like for years.

Sports teams or politicians -- when your team takes a foul, or your politician guy commits a crime -- there is always a good reason, it wasn't a big deal, etc.

That goes as far back as we can remember.

So if someone charges Cuomo and he is found guilty -- then he must pay the price.
So if in the course of the investigation on Russian's attempts to interfere with our election, individuals have been found to be guilty of other crimes or perjury -- they need to accept they got caught and pay the price.

We don't have to make assumptions when no specific crime is included in Mueller's authority. Rosenstein didn't designate a crime. Its an investigation looking for a crime or witch hunt to investigate people and try to find a crime. Now can you say, if Trump did what Cuomo did, Trump would get a pass ? Honest answer please. Open question to anyone. What say you dear reader ? All comments welcome.
We either have the "rule of law" or we have the "who of law". The law is immaterial when who breaks the law is what matters, isn't it ?

I gave my answer. I can't do better and understand it for you.

Give an inch and take a mile is a well known old concept. A feather today and bird tomorrow.

Think of it like the "N" word.
Instead its something you just can't do, not something you just can't say.

You argued "it's the law". No one is arguing it isn't. I want to know who is harmed by picking up a stray feather?

He may be working on a tickle defense strategy.
We will have to wait and see how it plays to a jury.
