The far reaching arm of affirmative action is pushing into the board room.
I'm all for women in the board room as well as whites, blacks, hispanics, asians, gays, men that want to be women and vice versa or anyone else BUT they all need to earn that spot at the big table through education, hard work and intelligence.
Simply forcing someone in to fill a government mandated quota is really short sighted. People should be inspired to work harder and smarter to earn that spot and not just have it handed to them because they were born as X.
What's next?
I'm a white guy and I'm not a racist but I find it troubling that white men are disproportionately represented on NBA and NFL teams.
Yeah, it seems like meritocracy is fine for sports, no one really bats an eye. Not sure why that can't be extended to life, it used to be.
Before all of this "equality of outcomes" nonsense that seems to be getting pushed that what is was, the best person got the spoils in whatever it was, sports, getting jobs, whatever it happened to be. I have no problem with equality of opportunity, but stop shoving this other BS down people's throats, especially for important fields of study like medicine, engineering, architecture, things where you know, you have to actually know what you're doing. Being the department head of the underwater basket weaving program at some liberal arts college, well, it's not so important if you're pushing the equality of outcomes agenda, now is it??
I suppose that hurts too many peoples feelers anymore to actually speak some basic known truths that in private most fair and rational people would tend to agree with, the SJW crowd, not so much.
Awesome, more of not hiring the best person for the job but just a person to fill a slot. We have plenty of that at my company. If you fit a certain profile, you will be put on the fast track to management....
Good.....The more crazy CA becomes the more transplants come to CO......This raises my property values and makes it even sweeter when I leave this wannabe CA state.
