Are women in business just as capable as men or do they need help from the government to get to the board room? It can't be both.
The thing is, in this day and age and current climate, I can see this becoming nothing but massive problems for everyone. Woman gets on board because of affirmative action, and then what's stopping her from threatening the men for sexual harassment if they don't do her bidding?
The far reaching arm of affirmative action is pushing into the board room.
I'm all for women in the board room as well as whites, blacks, hispanics, asians, gays, men that want to be women and vice versa or anyone else BUT they all need to earn that spot at the big table through education, hard work and intelligence.
Simply forcing someone in to fill a government mandated quota is really short sighted. People should be inspired to work harder and smarter to earn that spot and not just have it handed to them because they were born as X.
What's next?
I'm a white guy and I'm not a racist but I find it troubling that white men are disproportionately represented on NBA and NFL teams.
You will have to speak a little louder to the row of SJW liberal mothers-in-law regarding that point.
Is it okay that Hollywood is predominately liberal? No
Is it okay that most late night TV hosts are liberal? No
Is it okay that the media is mainly liberal? No
Is it okay that boardrooms are male dominated? No
Is it okay that most NBA players are tall? Yes. You have to be tall to be one of the best NBA players, but do you have to be a man to be talented in a boardroom?
Is it okay that horse racing Jockeys are short? Yes. Weighing less gives you an advantage in a horse race, but does being a man give you a advantage in boardroom situations?
Is it okay that most nurses are female? No, both men and women are capable of being good nurses. And if a group of men had valid statistics showing too many nurses were women, I would not oppose them taking measures to make the situation fair.
In short you are fine with using guns, coersion, violence etc. to force relationships. I dont even want to know your opinion on rape
Why not just go all the way and mandate that 50% of all jobs must be held by women? They could also mandate that all people are paid the same. They could create a new bureaucracy to regulate and administer it all.
Oh, dear. Are there people who really think this is just a case of "best for the job" or do you realize that women are ignored too often even when they ARE the most qualified?
