John Brennan is being punished by having his security clearance revoked. The President revoked Brennan's clearance in an angry huff. What is dangerous here is that this ex CIA directors insight could be priceless in a national emergency. Now we won't have his input because he is out of the loop.

There are plenty of others who would be better choices for their knowledge. Brennan is not the end all be all of the CIA. Good lord most people probably did not even know who he was until he lied to Congress.

It was well known that from the very beginning of his Presidency Trump skipped National Security briefings or found them to be utterly boring or unnecessary. Now all of the sudden he knows enough about National Security to make a crucial personnel decision.

Because when there is a crisis some departments call back people with past knowledge of situation and can have input on how to best resolve it, they need the clearance to be briefed on sensitive plans, that's why.
