I see him as an example of lazy journalism. The lady answered his question. Directly and specifically. If he doesn't believe her, investigate. Show where she is lying.
Contact his whistleblower. Get names. Get examples. Don't act like you accomplished something by getting someone to answer your question which does nothing to prove your allegations.
As far as I know there is no IRS exemption.

Frankly I'm astonished by this because if he can build a decent case with the whistleblower and then take it public in the papers I smell a Pulitzer.
There have been plenty of examples in the past of shady dealings but that doesn't make such an egregiously vague charge worth spending time on.
