Trump has fanned the flames of division in this country. Racists who had been forced to the shadows and obscure internet forums for decades are now feeling empowered to march in front of the White House, thanks to Trump.
In the end, I believe Trump will be a GOOD thing for America. When Trump loses in 2020 or is removed from office before that, America will come together stronger than ever before. After Trump, we will bounce back as a much stronger, more united America.
I'm not going to vote for him (and didn't in 2016), but do you think you'd feel the same (and just change the timeframe to 4 years later) if Trump isn't removed and wins in 2020 ?
Yes. It’s hilarious. It was a wasteful, stupid idea to begin with. 20 million. 92 million... who cares? It’s all too much money. I was not played because I have always thought it was wasteful.

"Wahhhh, the Pentagon won't use nearly $100M of taxpayer funds to pay for my great big bestest-ever military parade. I'm going to France!"

The title of the original post in this thread is false. Trump didn't cancel the parade, the Dept. of Defense did. They told Trump they wouldn't spend the $100 million or more it would cost. Forget about 2019------Trump will be long gone by then.
Funny, he ran his ENTIRE campaign on the fact that America is not great, and he was going to make it so again. He says the intelligence community is incompetent and can't be trusted. He says that people in the opposition party can't be trusted. He says that people in HIS party who challenge him can't be trusted. He criticises sitting SCOTUS Justices. He attacks our allies, and the leaders of their countries. He praises Klansmen as fine people, but fails to acknowledge the "fineness" of people who are against racism. He uses the N-word to describe people of color, and his fortune is built on a legacy of prejudice and racist landlord practices (look this one up, since I'm sure you'll ask for a link).
He praises and bows to Putin and Kim, and gives them as examples of what great leaders should look like.
I don't think he's trying to remind people about how great America is. I think he ran a campaign 100% on the fact that we suck, and only he can fix it. The latter are his words, and the fact that America is not currently great was unmistakably implied in his campaign slogan.
You really have to be pretty far gone at this point to think that this guy is a cheerleader for American Exceptionalism. He is the antithesis of it.

Trump tweeted that he canceled the parade.
Are you suggesting that the president is less than truthful?
Or that he’s above taking credit for others’ actions?
Remember when conservatives wanted to change French Fries to Freedom Fries -- lol -- talk about snowflakes.
