Not to mention the moral code by which he lives but willfully refuses to acknowledge.

Ever notice that the most dogmatic, inflexible, closed-minded people on the planet are "New Atheists" who believe that religion only detracts from the world? Furthermore, have you ever noticed how they build their cases upon a mountain of logical fallacies, as we have seen aplenty in this thread?

People forget that we all have to subsidize religious institutions, and I, as an atheist, object to that.

Why should churches get to expect services like firefighting, policing and infrastructure and not pay for them. Why do they expect me, and people who are atheists like me, to help out in promulgation of their brand of bronze age, middle eastern fairy tales??

People forget? That must have been addressed at least 20 times in this thread alone.

It should be discussed in every thread, in every village, every town, every city, every State again, and again and loudly until religious institutes pay their fair share.

It's time, no more sucking of the public teat.

Go for it. All you have to do is change the Constitution and then accept the interaction of the church and state.

Right, and you failed to do that as well.

Typical leftist thinking who wants to degrade religion and thinks throwing money at problems is the answer to solving complicated issues.

A church like any non profit can choose to forgo that status and engage in political activity. AFAIK the only law that would prevent them from being taxed is the 14th, that would only apply if you were just going to try tax them.
