Echo...inciting violence isn't protected speech...but trump doesn't care ...whether he knows it or not.
My opinion of social media just jumped a notch.
Social media is not available next time , Mr trump and family, to get you elected. Better start looking elsewhere.
Twitter CEO just admitted he's a lefty.......
(quite a coincidence that many of the "makers" in this country are to the left)
Trump is gonna strain so badly he'll get a hernia. His morning tweet/constitution isn't going to flow so well.

Maybe Barry can give President Trump some tips on how to use illegals and dead people's votes to rig and election in his favor, except Trump doesn't need to cheat.
No worries. Trump has his rallies and his supporters are still very enthusiastically getting the word out.
Trump: too many conservative voices are being silenced on social media
For whatever reason, right-wing thinkers are more susceptible to fake news (we all are at times) and alarmist hoaxes, thus numerous sites set up to prey upon such people. So naturally if fake news is shut down or in any way blocked, of course it will impact right-wing sources more.
There was a similar problem with right-wing PACS. There were a lot of phony PACS set up specifically to target right-wing constituents who sent their money in when they would get all animated about something. Many of those PACS did not spend the money as was expected, and the founders granted themselves hefty salaries. It was essentially scam central, exploiting weaknesses in the law.
I am reminded of an interview Rudy Giuliani gave during the Republican nation convention. I must paraphrase but when told America was becoming safer year by year he said something very remarkable: 'It's not that the people are less safe, but what was important was that they feel less safe!' In other words, 'we have made the people feel less safe, and now they have a need we are seeking to fulfill'. Very much like Madison Avenue selling soap.
Fast forward to more recent days and this same Rudy is saying stuff like "truth is not truth" and our lovely Kellyanne is launching whoppers like "alternative facts" ...
To me it is amusing that some people get all worked up over these made up issues, hoaxes like the birther movement and supposedly selling off of uranium, or astoundingly high unemployment numbers until January 2017, yet when we have a real very serious national issue over security or safety these people are completely complacent.

Yep. It's all very amusing until they start talking about how they're angry and armed.
Sure. But it's only fair that we receive the same boost that YT, FB, Google, Twitter, etc. had received. The CIA to build the platforms for us and your tax dollars to fund its creation and your tax dollars to fund us in perpetuity. After all, our tax dollars helped pay for those creations and subsidies to keep them running.

Again, the hypocrisy of the modern left is astounding.
The old school liberals were all for freedom of speech, no matter how vile or unpopular. They invoked Voltaire and the belief that you might strongly disagree with what is being said, but would fight with your life to protect their right to say it.
So if today most, if not all the tech and social media giants were conservative and using programs to suppress if not outright censor liberal/leftist speech/expression, you and other would be screaming bloody murder.
The difference is most conservatives would also be objecting, as this country was founded on the principle of freedom, not suppression.
Liberals once abhorred censorship by large corporations. Trump should propose a law that requires social media platforms to refrain from censoring speech based on its content, with the exception of child porn and actual overt threats.
Indeed
Child porn, terrorist groups that recruit to promote violence, and sites that show how to make WMD's would be examples of things that should be censored. With a few other exceptions, nothing else should be, certainly not of a political nature.

I seriously doubt Twitter is going to try and censor the president, as that would undoubtedly be the beginning of the end for them.
Instead companies like this seem to want to limit, suppress, and outright censor conservative speech/thought. I am not talking about nutcases who might be promoting the overthrow of the government, as you have those nuts on both sides of the political spectrum.
Instead I am talking about preventing those who do not agree with a leftist agenda to be restricted/silenced. As I put in a previous post, I would object if it were occurring to those on the left and always have. I actually use to respect old school liberals who defended our civil and constitutional rights. Heck even though the ACLU is full of leftists, I supported them on 1st Amendment grounds.
Why?
Because they were correct and were helping to protect us all.
However the "tolerant and COEXIST" leftists of today are neither. The hardcore ones are fascists, yet delude themselves into thinking they are against fascism.
Sadly, others on the liberal spectrum are not speaking out against them, thus giving tacit approval for this assault on our cherished freedoms.
More incessant whining about life not being fair by the idiot in the oval office that was born into a fortune. Never have I seen such a crybaby in my life. Zero proof, only whining from the Crybaby in Chief.
