Poor Donny. He's not being real smart by getting into a fight with Silicon Valley, while, at the same time, begging them to bring more jobs to the country to make himself look good.
Hate? What hate?

In any case “hate speech” is free speech!

Maybe FOX news could open up those deep pockets and spearhead the entire project.

Trillions of dollars being repatriated. If there is a need it will get met. A conservative social media where they don't get shadow banned or shut down would thrive.

Trump is right again. I'm encouraged to see the liberal/Dems reporting on this.
Maybe the resistance is broken.

What do some of y'all think needs to happen? Are you wanting the government to take over these private companies so this can actually be the public square you think they are? Where will the money for making all this happen and keep running (websites, hosting and other things do cost money after all). Do you want government to provide social media or make the Internet a public utility (though of course, Internet =/= social media.)

People have been saying this for a couple years.

The time has come. They’ll make money too on ads

Conservative political commentators are not just the majority on talk radio–they monopolize it. It’s easy to rattle off a list of celebrity conservative radio commentators: Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly, G. Gordon Liddy, Neal Boortz, Mike Gallagher, Matt Drudge, Bob Dornan, Michael Reagan, Oliver North, Michael Medved, Bob Grant, Ken Hamblin, Pat Buchanan, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage–and the list goes on.

It already has. That's why there are so many Foxaphobes.
And that's why polls haven't been right and don't tell the story. Liberals won't win. Silencing the truth is what they accuse The Right of doing, but that's just projection.

And companies are private enterprises that that are also free to dump hate speech.

Seriously? What hate speech from Alex Jones? Too much to list. This ground has been covered ad nauseum in other threads.
