As it reads now, disabled & aged 65+, eligibility is 100% of the federal poverty level plus an income disregard of $230 single, $310 couple.

That only equates to 123% of the federal poverty level where-as, those poor people aged 64 and under, can earn up to 138% of the Federal poverty level which is a few hundred dollars more.

Can someone ready this bill and tell me, is this Doctor Arumba proposing to raise the level to 138%, which it seems since it's crossed out, AND keep the income disregards of $230 & $310? that would allow seniors to make a little more $$ than those ages 64 and under.

I am trying to read it and cannot tell if they are going to keep the income disregards or do away with them. Thank you.

The bill you linked would raise the 100% FPL to 138% FPL while eliminating the fixed $230/$310 disregards, but would only take effect if the federal government approves it.
