Then again theres people hopelessly addicted to videogames, porn, sugar, social media, big bottles of cheese puffs, etc.
Addiction is a symptom of a bigger underlying problrm. Some chose marijuana, some chose something harder, others chose to binge on a bucket of Ben n Jerrry’s.

It would be just as easy to find people who have obsession issues with ice cream, fast food, alcohol, tobacco, shopping, gambling, precscription drugs, etc., etc., etc.

Most rational people see it for the biased blather it is.
And BTW, IF these alleged pot addicts truly are invisible as stated, it would seem they're not calling attention to themselves by committing crimes, poor performance at work, and other anomalous behaviors, right?

If you aren't for banning alcohol sales then you can't call for a ban on weed.
I bet alcohol consumption went up after prohibition was discontinued....just like the use of weed went up AFTER it was legalized.
And yes it has become more potent...but here's the thing...like some beers are more potent...you just consume as much...you just don't.
