" As Trump stepped up his public and private attacks on Obama, some of the new President’s advisers thought that he should take the extraordinary step of denying Obama himself access to intelligence briefings that were made available to all of his living predecessors. Trump was told about the importance of keeping former Presidents, who frequently met with foreign leaders, informed. In the end, Trump decided not to exclude Obama, at the urging of McMaster."
Frankly, they need to put more of these former government officials’ security clearances into suspension when they retire. Active security clearance should still have a need to know only limitation - and need to know would not include so I can tell the press. That said, ex-presidents, would be an exception because they would probably still need to know for diplomatic reasons.

Since an email from disgraced FBI official Lisa Page mentioned POTUS wanted to know what they were all doing in their SpyGate plot, and she and Strzok worried the White House would take over their scheme, Obama might have more to worry about than losing a security clearance.
And that is an offense to petty and small men everywhere.
