African American business owners are on the rise. According to the Minority 2018 Small Business Trends survey, the number of black-owned small businesses in the U.S. increased by a staggering 400% in a year-over-year time period from 2017 to 2018.
The new survey, which was conducted by Guidant Financial and LendingClub, interviewed more than 2,600 business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. It found that 45% of all small business in the country were owned by minority ethnic groups in 2018. This is a dramatic uptick from 2015 when the total percentage of minority business owners was 15%. The largest minority group of respondents were African American at 19%, followed by Hispanic at 14%, Asian at 8%, and Native American at 4%.
". Guidant Financial, a leader in small business financing, has recorded an increase of 17 percent in lending transactions over the last year."
Hmmm......a 4X increase and they only got a slight uptick in payday loans?
(they are a payday lender of sorts.....not exactly the proper source for such stats)......they will gladly lend Black folks money against their IRA's to make sure they lose everything....and have nothing to fall back upon.
Oh, Asians don't do things like this. They have their own networks to lend money to each other without hogtying their own...
How about those folks who stand along the street with a poorly made sign, asking for $$s? Are they now considered "self employed entrepreneurs" and "in the sign business"???

Maybe they stripped off financial protections so payday lenders can give blacks money loaned against their retirement account...usually the only safe asset they had?
C'mon. This must be a new low. Quoting PR by a payday lender whose EVERY Press Release and "survey" since they started is positive...is quite far out.
This org apparently "helps" a lot of people are are desperate due to the loss of the middle class. They ever brag about "helping" Airline pilots caught up in the bankruptcies make use of their retirement accounts....early.
This is like bragging about all those insurance companies that would pay AIDS victims 1/2 million for their life insurance policies.
Meanwhile black kids are turned away from school for having hair extensions.
