You are claiming to know the law better than the prosecutor, the judge who accepted the plea, and the defendant who is also a lawyer himself.
I am claiming to know the law better than you. Also, the judge has not weighed in on the legal issues associated with this by receiving this "plea deal," while Mueller and the prosecutor are pretty clearly playing politics with this.

They prosecution stated that they have evidence including, "text messages, messages sent over encrypted applications, phone messages, and emails" - Also, "hard copy documents, seized electronic devices, and audiorecordings made by Mr. Cohen."
Instead of just pontificating on how baseless the charges are because some talking head told you so, or reading a 3rd hand account, doing some research of your own using original source material, like an actual court transcript, might lead you to some different conclusions. The pressure came from the fact that there is actual EVIDENCE!

Though why the House Democrats would try to impeach Trump is anybody's guess. It would die in the Senate as the Constitution requires a two thirds super majority to convict and evven the most optimistic do not imagine the Senate being two-thirds Democratic in January. So why bother?
Better to hold hearings and sponsor investigations until every Republican is exposed for their role in this criminal and corrupt endeavor.

Given that, I think you need to sit down and shut up. Your pronouncements are clearly unfounded and your understanding of the situation is clearly inferior to all of the other parties involved, including the defendant who as a lawyer is aware of what he pled to.

cohen has already admitted this week that the purpose of the payments were so the stories wouldn't have a detrimental affect on the campaign.
doesn't matter. the payments were made with the specific purpose of helping the campaign making them an unreported campaign contribution no matter where the funds came from.
There is no proof of that and never will be.
Remember Comey was dealing with serious Hillary crimes with much more evidence and he didn't charge her because he said he couldn't or didn't have provable intent.

What do Cohen and Davis care? They are trying to get Cohen the best deal that they can, and if Mueller wants this charge in there and will reduce Cohen's sentence in return, that is fine with them.
