To any one of us here who ever wondered why lawyers always tell their clients to shut up and don't talk to anyone about their cases. Well, Dumb, er Trump, just showed us why.

Dumb, er, Trump, was in his usual stable genius form when he said he only knew about the payment after Cohen had made the payment. No doubt thinking that if he didn't approve of the payment ahead of time, it would get the stable genius off the hook.

Well except he signed a federal financial disclosure in 2017 and lying on that disclosure is a federal crime. And it so happens that the said payments most definitely must be disclosed, even if it's just to a porn star and a nude model; and... he just admitted he knew about the payment. So let us double check the financial disclosure.... NO mention of the payment! That's a federal crime. Period.

Donald Trump Just Admitted to a Federal Crime in ‘Fox & Friends’ Interview, Obama Ethics Chief Says

“The striking thing about the video we just watched is that the president in his usual clumsy way has stumbled into another federal crime," Eisen said, claiming that Trump signed his federal financial disclosures in 2017 and purposefully omitted his debt to Cohen for paying off women who claimed to have had affairs with the president. "Guess what, if you owe somebody money, he just said, 'Yes, I know about the payments,' he repaid Michael Cohen. He had to list that on his form. He omitted it," Eisen continued. The ethics expert said that his watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington has already made a criminal referral against Trump, which has resulted in a complaint from the Office of Government Ethics to the Department of Justice.

"President Trump just stumbled right into that second federal offense. So we’re seeing, it may not be the beginning of the end, but it’s the end of the beginning," he added.

That's why the idea of a "perjury trap" is so funny. Trump doesn't need to be trapped. Trump is constantly blurting out things - things he knows to be lies, things he knows nothing about, random accusations of others, confessions about himself. I guess this is part of the whole delusion of people who liked him because they felt he was "real." They seem to not grasp the idea that normal high-level people, especially with a bully pulpit, are supposed to exercise a little self-restraint.

Is single-minded another term for the truth or facts? Trump actually said this, with video to prove it and it was in fact an inadvertent admission to a crime.

No one likes to have their nose rubbed in it.

Even Trump supporters have been watching and listening.

No matter what happens future elections will include aspirants who will emphasize and promote their dignity, tact, and maturity which will be good for the American people. People will learn not to vote for village idiots and instead support candidates with wisdom and intelligence.
