For Trump the entire exercise was about touting his brand. To be known as "former presidential candidate Donald Trump". To go on talk shows and bloviate as if he had some credibility since he was a "former presidential candidate". And all the while claiming the election was rigged in favor of "crooked Hilary". Well, it didn't turn out that way.
Yep, pretty much a classic case of the dog catching the car. And then it ran over him.
He will deny it as long as 10's of million of Americans accept that behavior.
Should they stop he will have no one to cry to. As long as millions and Fox and all those outlets cry FOR him, he will continue.

Translation: Mueller's investigation of Russian collusion has run up against the hard stop of the midterm election, and since his bait-and-switch investigation of the person of Donald Trump has produced diddly squat, he is desperate.

The question is will the weight of evidence reach a point where adding one feather will finally be too much or will Trump's ridiculous (or at least should be ridiculous) claim be true he could shoot someone in times square and his supporters would not care?
I think what many Trumpeteers don't realize is that the Republican former FBI leader knows how to take down the mob. If you realize what he is doing, he is meticulously taking out the lower level leutenants to get to the big "Don". The are getting more and more information to the point, that unless you are a completely brainwashed moron, you will be forced to acknowledge the overwhelming truth. He will not be putting out a weak case and will be robust like a case against a mob boss, Mueller will grind out a case that is undeniable.

You don't give immunity UNLESS you know a crime was committed by the lieutenants and you can use them to get another level up. This next level, I predict, will be very painful for you. Mueller knows how to deal with the mob and "The Don". The real question is when will the true believers realized they've been conned if ever?
