Likely it's the end nearing for him....glioblastomas and metastasis kill quickly most of the time. My dad stopped treatment as well....it was clear to us all he'd die very soon.

A true hero if there ever was one. Both parties should honor him and be grateful for his service in the military and his many years of service as a senator...

He was my senator for years in Arizona. I always felt he was really a democrat but he wanted to be in the senate and his wife who held the purse strings wanted to live in Arizona. Hence he was a republican.

He was a war hero and it is a shame when anyone dies of cancer. And Trumpers should at least show a little respect for the latter.

Made it through a whole thread on McCain without the MIA/POW issue popping up. Everyone's a war hero, a great entertainer, a great humanitarian, or a great whatever have you when they die.

68,000 civilian deaths were the result of the Rolling Thunder bombing campaign, in North Vietnam. Add to that a few hundred thousand civilian casualties and a few hundred thousand adults and children with post-traumatic stress disorder from being scared to death for three years (65-68). I wouldn't call a hero a bomber pilot who took part of that, even if he flew only 23 sorties.

9/11 fails in comparison to what we did to North Vietnam. Our government bombed that poor country back to the stone age and Mccain volunteered for all of his bombings......talk about a warmonger and he sure lived to that reputation in the Senate.

People forget what we did to South Vietnam. The first country we military invaded and bombed was the south, not the north.

a War hero for bombing 23 times civilians and children in North Vietnam and getting caught? ...I will bet you if Putin was a bombing fighter and bombed 23 times cities full of civilians and children in Ukraine , you would be all calling him a war criminal.

Everybody dies, you better get used to it. No shame in dying or you think everybody lives forever. Mccain is 81 years old. My grandpa, Father, and brother didn't make it to 67. Mccain lived a life of privilege by being the son and grandson of 2 Admirals and going to the best schools and being in the Senate for decades and marrying a rich younger woman (which he dumped his first wife and gave her the divorce papers while she was in the hospital bed)

Trump supporters didn't insult Mccain first, Mccain did. Mccain has been batting for the other side (Democrats) for a while. I'm surprised he didn't switch parties.....I guess he and his wife are TOO WHITE for the Democrat Party.

hero for me is the Vietnamese that rescued Mccain from getting beat up to death after his 23rd bombing over North Vietnam and he got caught and an angry mob wanted to put his head on the spike.

The Vietnamese man that Mccain totally ignored in his book.

Default Breaking: McCain dies at age of 81

Not sure if this is true. But the first claim has been made.
