It sort of puts a damper on the " U S are the good guys" fake news that partisans swallow up.

Why talk about it? the people vote for neo con/lib war mongers year after year. You know the saying " actions speak louder then words". Plus, this subject is uncomfortable for partisans because it is so hard to point to the other side for blame.
