what the rules really should be is that a hearing MUST be held within X days of nomination and a vote MUST be held on each nominee. a nomination is in place and cannot be rescinded unless done by the President who nominated them. meaning a new president cannot supercede a priors nomination until it is heard and voted on. no stonewalling or filibustering.

There is something about Hirono and her voice that almost literally makes me feel ill.

The public is no longer qualified to be informed on this process. They are taking a good man with a long, impeccable reputation and turning him into a pawn in their damn #resist BS.

No just too much baggage for Kavanaugh and the GOP now can use this as an election issue because "He got torpedoed by the Dems."

I think I've been how quickly this man could change from choirboy to raging drunk.

He's been a TERRIBLE witness.

He has merely demonstrated that's he's capable of rage, belligerence, and BS. He is absolutely unfit to sit on the SCOTUS.

He cannot believe that his elite privilege isn't protecting him.

I understand what you're saying but let me put it another way. A young girl is sexually assaulted in high school or college. It traumatizes her for decades. Don't you think she'd be apt to follow that person's life and/or career? Not that she'd be interested in his success or lack thereof but more out of anger, fear, shame, rage? People who have been that traumatized in that way, never get over it. That's why I asked why now and why not then.
