?????? Legit have no idea what you mean on move the goalposts. Told you the reason Gorsuch didn’t face this kind of dirty politics. Because Kavanaugh changes the composition of the court. What do you not understand? Reality check, any conservative nominee would have been treated to the same dirty politics because the Dems are desperate to not change the court to a solidly conservative one.
No-Gorsuch didn't face this because no woman came forward to say he molested her at a party 30+ years ago
Gorsuch was a nerd in prep school
He was not cool enough to run around with BK and the boys--and he was couple of years younger--
So he made it to Supreme Court before the "coolest" guy at Georgetown Prep---
That probably makes Gorsuch preen a little when Kavanaugh comes (if he comes) because the newbie has lot of stuff to do in role of grunt...
Gorsuch got a promotion of sorts if Kavanaugh or anyone comes on board as the newbie...
And of course since the court is in recess there is all the more rush to confirm the new Justice...

There is no risk. Just dirty politics that did not work to make Kavanaugh turn tail and run. Frankly, this is the kind of thing that would have been privately investigated by committee investigators and promptly dismissed as either not credible due to lack of evidence or not probable for the same. But no, Dems decided to play dirty politics hoping to sway the gullible.
