Thing is, her sworn testimony is already on record. As are those of 4 witnesses that she named that say she's lying. Bring on the investigation.

LYING UNDER OATH TO THE US SENATE IS A CRIME–
Christine Blasey Ford told the US Senate Judiciary Committee that the memories of Brett Kavanaugh “first came up” when she went into counseling in 2012. In May 2012 Ford and her husband argued over her desire to add “a second front door” to their home. Ford told the committee on Thursday the desire for a second door was because Brett Kavanaugh made her “claustrophobic.”
But there may have been something else…
As Paul Sperry reported on Thursday night. The Palo Alto building permits were issued to Ford and her husband in 2008 — NOT 2012.
Paul Sperry: Palo Alto bldg permit records raise questions about Ford’s testimony she completed an “extensive remodel” of home in 2012 & that this was seminal event that led her down path to coming out against Kavanaugh b/c she needed to add an escape door. Permit was issued in 2008.
More… Ford may have been talking about a addition that they rent out.
Another reason women are hesitant to report being raped (especially younger single women) is because it would hurt their chances of attracting other men. Men do not like the women they like being with other men, even when the other man forced himself on her.
Many young women are scared to report being raped because they fear it will cause the men around her to view her as used and damaged goods. Imagine a young woman who naturally wants a happy social life and healthy dating life, but if she reports being raped everyone in her social circle will be talking about her being raped and many young men will be less likely to ask her on a date (and that would basically destroy the things teenagers naturally desire in their teenage lives.)
And teenagers get embarrassed by things like their parents driving them to school and getting a new pimple, just imagine a young girl having everyone in her school talking about her being raped and then having the boys be less likely to ask her out on dates.
I can see why young women are hesitant to report being raped, but hopefully America's present conversations on this subject will cause some changes to help young women who have been raped.
LMAO....what, are you living in 1850 or something?? A large number of females today are having easy sex or don't care about "giving it up" often and to different men. Blame women's lib, Hollywood, the music scene or whatever but what you say may have fit a much earlier time when women were more choosing and caring about their "reputation" and standing. Guys today know they're not going to find a "pure" girl and that most will be sexually experienced....and many at a young age (14 or 15)
WHY wouldn't people want doubts to be assuaged? What is the rush to get this guy in? This is a lifetime appointment--is the desperation so great that it doesn't matter to get someone in who is truthful, that any and all allegations are investigated and properly vetted?
For the love of all that is holy, wouldn't everyone want a SCOTUS justice who has passed all tests?
I believe people do want that. I think based on all the responses on this thread alone that there is simply a divide over how many investigations need to take place before enough is enough, and the fact that since Kavanaugh is a conservative his pending lifetime appointment scares the hell out of some people. So of course it’s to their advantage to delay by any means necessary and for as long as possible. JMO.
Except it should not take two weeks to update Kavanaugh's background check file - which is what they have been charged to do. More like two days, if that.
oh..not to worry..they will come up with some lame excuse as to why its taking so long..weather. illness, stock market, ect
