This was roughly 35 years ago (1983-ish, we don't know exactly what year because the supposed "victim" doesn't remember when it supposedly happened ), and at least in the state I lived in at the time, beer and wine were legal at age 18. Liquor was 21.
In Maryland in 1983 the legal drinking age for both beer and liquor was 21.
They don't want death threats? But they shouldn't tweet anything about it unless they are willing to be questioned.
This is a large part of why I posted after reading 300+ pages. Both Ford and her classmate have now thrown something out there, but won't come in to discuss it and/or answer media questions. That's not right, nor fair to the accused, and it makes them both look like complete liars at worst and political hacks at best.
I was following along and not having much to say until Ford declined to come in for the hearing that she originally wanted, then the classmate decided to do her hit-and-run bit. That has seriously pushed me in the direction of thinking they're just throwing BS out there to shake up the nomination.
The FBI never asked me about my high school days, not even my college days.
They don't ask you. They ask your family members, neighbors, friends, faculty/staff at your schools, etc. I take it you've never been through the security clearance process?
Excellent. Her ridiculous demand to have an FBI investigation of a groping at a teenager’s drunken high school party 35 years ago is being given all the consideration it is due: NONE! She can get her butt in and be questioned on Monday or she can be discarded as what she most likely is: a fraud who is being used to derail a nomination. Enough with this BS already. No complaints for decades than magically abused and needing to go public in the 11th hour of a court nomination. Do you think this sounds like total garbage? Me too.

Was sexual assault legal in the state you lived in?
