With Thomas we don't have to go back that far...

I'm sorry, but watching Ruth Bader-Ginsburg answer questions, would make me wonder if the SCOTUS appointment should be a lifetime appointment.

When I was 17-18 and a freshman in college, I didn't dare allow myself to get drunk.

End of finals party I finally got drunk.

The next morning I was informed that I almost got beat up. Why? Alcohol had unleashed my inhibitions. I was keeping a secret. Alcohol helped push me into doing something I wouldn't even hint at when sober.

What was this secret I kept so hidden?

I liked guys, especially big muscular guys.

I had tried to kiss at least one of the varsity players right in the middle of my dorm hall.

Reflecting upon this incident in 1979 if someone stepped forward and said I made a drunken unwanted sexual advance against him, I would have to say it was a real possibility and that I was at least sorry.

Brett was a horny male teenager who got drunk out of his mind on many occasions. He didn't have to keep something hidden like I did.

However, in his case he claims it is absolutely certain CB Ford is a liar.

Hmmm.

She is encouraged to make an offer, being assured that it will never come to that, and then when she is taken up on it has to wiggle out of it. I guarantee if the FBI said "ok, we will investigate, first thing is to question the plaintiff in detail" her position will suddenly be "you know what, I've said all I have to say and I've been through enough, I'm done".

Assuming this woman actually exists.

If there is enough out there like this prom date, maybe an investigation could have borne fruit. But because of Feinstein's delay, GOP will be able to get away with no investigation.
The whole thing is obviously a politically driven stunt. It doesn’t take a genius to figure that out, especially when she refused to testify under oath.

I graduated from the same high school as a guy who is now on the Golden State Warriors, albeit years earlier. Say, why doesn't ESPN contact me to get my expert views on the upcoming NBA season? After all, I graduated from the same school. Who cares if I never knew this NBA player nor played high school basketball....
With a strange bit of coincidence, I went to the same high school as Jason Alexander (Jay Greenspan, AKA George Costanza). I never met him. He finished exactly 10 years before I did, but I vaguely remember Larry David asking me for a letter of reference.

Don't like it, who cares.....
Already did. That is why I point out you are either using some weird source or lying. Tried to give you the benefit of the doubt. But you decline it.

Did you sleep through those? They did indeed allow “witnesses” to testify on the behalf of Anitra Hill. I still vividly remember the one guy who spent 15 minutes at the beginning of his testimony bragging about himself, until finally a senator interrupted him. The problem was, like the latest “witness” for Blasey Ford, while they supported her they didn’t actually have supporting evidence, and it turned out many could not have saw or heard what they claimed they did. Quite a few “witnesses” ended up bowing out when they learned about the perils of lying under oath to Congress.

How about she testify on Monday so the Senate Judiciary Committee can determine whether or not an investigation is justified? One former semi-classmate should not expect her say-so to derail a nomination process of a Supreme Court justice. Especially considering that at one point she publically claimed she didn’t know how old she was at the time. She has a serious credibility issue.

Agreed, but that's why Feinstein should have initiated the process in July. By waiting until now, it allows Senate GOP to dismiss it as a stunt to delay until after the mid-terms.

Lying to the FBI is a felony in and of itself
I think she wants the FBI investigation to make people take this seriously and to make them really know that if they lie to protect Kavanaugh that can come back later to bite them...
There is no timelimit on that felony...

So far NO ONE has given a statement about this to the FBI
Even Kavanaugh has not because he was not asked about it because Ford's accusation was not known
SHE is willing obviously to give testimony to the FBI---
Why wouldn't all of Kavanaugh's other supporters...
And it would take more than 5 days to get a thorough investigation
Of course that does not fit the GOP's rush to anoint Kavanaugh for this seat
It is like women poised to rush Fillene's basement for a big sale
They are willing to stomp anyone in their way to get that bargain...
You do realize that nobody is required to talk to the FBI? The FBI does not have any jurisdiction over this incident, as its not a federal crime, even if it did occur. So why would anyone talk to the FBI? They just make crap up , decide to exonerate guilty people, charge innocent ones, over nothing more than misstatements that can be simple errors of recollection or detail. There is absolutely no reason that ANYONE should EVER , under ANY circumstances, talk to the FBI!

Its a huge set up. Has the 2012 "therapist" thing ever been authenticated? Are the notes really from 2012? Do an ink analysis. Find a paper trail of an appt. I bet there isn't one. Its easily a hoax and a conspiracy.

Yah, all the doctor stuff played as kids ......none of the kids I grew up with could ever get elected to dogcatcher if we told what everyone did....LOL...this is ridiculous stuff. I remember in high school this girl looking up my shorts in science class and making some comment and then we had this one girl that used to run around the athletic field and grab dude's balls as a joke...I guess she'd be burned at the stake if word got out. Guys used to snap girls' bras. It wasn't a federal offense. I think in my high school yearbook they actually used a photo of a group all "groping" each other and smiling too...guess that's LEVEL 4 Sexual harassment, child pornography and white supremacy (since everyone in the photo was white).
