Actually, the chaos that the Dems orchestrated reeked more of a banana republic than anything the GOP has done.
They've already been given more documents than any other nominee in history. What more do they want?

It was explained but Dems don't care. Those Bush documents were classified and part of the Bush files. Dems know they can't get them by law but it sure allows them to scream that they are being held back.

McConnell started this with that action as well as revoking the 60 vote rule for Supreme Court picks. Of course you will argue that Reid suspended the 60 vote rule in the lower courts in reacting to the republicans obstructionism by denying President Obama any picks, but decisions by the lower courts can be overruled. Not the case with the Supreme Court, which leads to Justices being confirmed by the thinnest of margins.
Pat yourself on the back now, but wait til the corporate court rules against workers rights, which they will. If you have to work for a living, it will have a disastrous effect on you.
As for the two party system, it take 270 electoral votes to win the Presidency. If you have more than 2 major candidates, then it's more feasible that neither candidate would gain the 270 votes to win. The alternative would be to revoke the electoral college and elect the President by popular vote. Wouldn't the small states love that.

I just don’t like the lifetime appointments. I think 10 years should be the maximum term. Nobody should be given a lifetime appointment.
