You do realize that Mueller's investigation indirectly provided the Cohen testimony that Trump directed him to commit campaign finance fraud which was designed to prevent damage at the ballot box due to his infidelities? A statement that has since been corroborated by David Pecker, a guy that has worked with Trump at least once before to prevent bad press.

Mueller's investigation has already born fruit. So when you see "we need to wait until he's finished" - yeah, but while we wait, he's validated his own investigation. Crimes were committed by Trump. So, let's investigate them. Let's "let him finish." This shouldn't be so hard to comprehend for people on the right that so love law enforcement and I hope, by extension, actually enforcing the law.

Actually as president he controls the entire executive branch. Traditionally the Justice Department works very independently, at least so far. The head of the SDNY Geoffrey Berman was recently appointed by Trump, after Preet Bharara was forced out. Of course, this recently appointed US Attorney recused himself in the Cohen matter!

Trump wants everything shut down. He can't get Jefferson Beauregard Sessions to do it so he will get someone else, and if Mueller goes, Berman may be shown the door too. I am not sure how this will play out with ongoing investigations on the table ...

Here's the thing,

Sure there are lots of people that believe there is some big ole Russian collusion going on

But there are WAY more people that don't know or don't think there was collusion. There is concern for the integrity of the American electoral process and hence a desire to see the Mueller investigation findings.

But there is absolutely positive no doubt the moral integrity of Trump has been proven to be what his critics thought it is and was.

So NO, we have not "all" broken laws - only the dishonest among us has.

Ken

PS - probably a good thing you don't have the name of your real estate business public on your posts as it's not really a good selling point to publicly state that EVERYONE "breaks laws". It kind'a implies that "YOU" are included in that group. Sure wouldn't want to make me use you as an agent would it?

But then again, since when have Trump supporters shown a lot of sense?

Um, no. It was about whether Cohen had broken the law.

When Mueller ran across what he thought might be evidence of wrongdoing on Cohen's part, he passed it off to SDNY, because it was outside his mission of investigating Russian connections to the Trump campaign.

Do try to keep up.

Dershowitz was on TV this morning discussing how the Govt could put us all in prison if they so chose. You're foolish if you think they can't.
Even companies like Apple or Microsoft with huge legal and accounting staffs get "convicted" of obscure laws daily.

Well then, maybe that's a very good reason NOT to have someone as petty and vindictive as Donald Trump in power. If you say mean things about him he'll likely revoke any security clearances you might have, have you fired, or possibly even send the FBI after you, wouldn't you say? DT is without a doubt the most thin-skinned, petty, and vindictive President we've EVER had - it's not even close - and since he's ALREADY done such things I guess you're OK with the government doing it eh?
If not, WHY are you supporting him? - just because he's not doing it to YOU but rather to other folks you don't happen to like? Gee, that sounds like a REALLY smart plan.

Just sayin'

Ken

Info out that Trump is threatening to replace Don McGahn because he has been opposed to pardon for Manafort...
And probably because McGahn gave testimony to Mueller fairly readily--didn't require subpoena...

Berman has been a surprise--he did recuse himself from any investigation related to Trump/campaign because Trump appointed him
And he apparently has kept his hands off Kazami running the Cohen investigation

Will be interesting to see how that goes as Kazami burrows into the Trump organization and Trump's many illegal activities which likely are continuing since he really has not distanced himself from Trumpworld...

Apple and Microsoft and Boeing and Exxon pay their legal staffs millions and billions of dollars a year to give them advice on how to get around laws of all kinds...
They are more concerned with bending laws to get an advantage vs obeying the letter of the law
So I don't have any sympathy for a multimillion dollar company being charged with violations of the law
That happens SO RARELY it usually makes the news
Show me a story where Apple or Microsoft got convicted of breaking an obscure law daily???
