The truth hurts, doesn't it. As noted in the link, the 5-year average of California's GDP growth is 2.9%, which is ranked 2nd. That says something about your perceptions.
Do you even know what a poll is? This isn't a poll, it's a ranking of a variety of statistics.
Ya it seems not many read the methodology.
This wasn't ranking growth or the size of the economy in a given state. The methodology, from the link, used a combination of "economic growth, poverty, unemployment, job growth, and college attainment rates".
All pretty clearly things vital to a positive economy or not.
