At some point, I hope to get around to reading the novel by the late, great Philip Roth, "The Plot Against America," which I gather is sort of an alternative universe imagined where America ends up with a right-wing xenophobic president, and a foreign enemy meddles in our election.
It's a novel, and written a decade ago. But Roth commented last year: "I found much that was alarming about being a citizen during the tenures of Richard Nixon and George W. Bush. But, whatever I may have seen as their limitations of character or intellect, neither was anything like as humanly impoverished as Trump is: ignorant of government, of history, of science, of philosophy, of art, incapable of expressing or recognizing subtlety or nuance, destitute of all decency, and wielding a vocabulary of seventy-seven words that is better called Jerkish than English.”

Whoa, a Jewish Zionist hates a President that remotely cares about the non-Jewish majority (as Zionists care about their own). Shocker. Alert the press (wait, they already know and endorse this duplicity).

Roth has added a new name to our lexicon: the Jerkish Language. Did anyone think that Simple English, with a 1,000-word vocabulary, was limited? The 77 words of Trump's Jerkish, sets a new linguistic-limbo bar (How low can you go?).
My old friend, Herman Hope, who came from Aruba, limboed lower than anyone you see on this video. But I will admit that the woman who limboed low, with the trays of coffee cups, was terrific! I wonder how well she is doing at that, today?

You haven't read it. Thank you for your brilliant insight
I'm sorry, are you implying that we shouldn't mention something that's been widely praised? Perhaps you think I should have lied and pretended I'd read it? Or did you just entirely miss the main point - which was the quote?

Who is Phillip Roth and why is he remotely important beyond wanting to score some money off Trump's fame?
A dead novelist and story teller.
