Their policies were/aren't that far apart; bombing civilians, supporting terrorists, higher taxes, fewer freedoms, more debt, etc. I have to wonder what big difference would there be to debate?
It would just be more of the same team nonsense seen here, arguing over the fine points of some criminal scheme.

I wouldn't say Obama was the best,a few bubbling under scandals that are serious under the rug from previous presidents (banking regulations, Fast and Furious, and the V.A. namely) came to a head under his presidency, but he was generally liked. Trump, he only has his base and the Republicans who are were never a part of his base are now slowly waking up to how bad and how hypocritical Trump is. Trump has all the baggage of a career politician, but was only a business man. A lot of his policies, he never walked the walk with noon his personal life.

Yeah, the two elections when Obama stomped the crap out of the Republican challenger I guess people didn't realize he was black or that they were racist!

I think your thesis needs a little work.

Obama got all the blacks and liberal whites to go to the polls to vote for him because he was black, not because of his platform (what exactly was it?). He was strictly the byproduct of identity politics and a feel good choice.

I'm moderate and I didn't like Obama until about 2014 bit I would gladly vote for him if I could in 2020 OVER Trump. Then again I would vote any one over Trump.

I would like to see it just for the debates. A Harvard Law graduate articulating the finer points of a myriad of issues versus the womanizing reality TV star who can barely utter a complete sentence and knows absolutely nothing about the political system which he heads.
