Isn't it amazing how these Obama conspiracies arise whenever Trump is in legal jeopardy and losing it on twitter?

It's like these are in a file somewhere to pull out when needed.
Following the arrest of two Iranian individuals charged with spying on Jewish and Israeli facilities in the California area, Rep. Peter Roskam (R., Ill.) told the Free Beacon it is likely Iran has stationed multiple regime-tied agents in the United States to conduct intelligence operations.

...
"This is the tip of the iceberg," Roskam said in an interview. "This is not a surprise and this is a result of the Iran regime getting financial support from the Obama administration in the Iran deal."

Iran has been emboldened by the lack of international repercussions on its malevolent behavior and may have increased its intelligence operations in America in the years since the landmark nuclear deal, he said.

...
One U.S. official, agreeing with Roskam's assessment, told the Free Beacon Iran has been running "vast espionage and information operations in the United States" with virtual impunity. The arrest of the two recently charged Iranians denotes a significant shift in policy that could result in the capture of more agents.

"If there's anything that's become obvious in the last few months, it's that the Iranians are running vast espionage and information operations in the United States," said the source, who could only discuss the situation on background. "The Trump administration has been warning since day one that some of the windfall Iran got from the nuclear deal has been going into malign cyber operations."
That deal with Iran is going to bite us in the butt big time.
Ha - The Iranians can now see how screwed we are up close.

We could save them the trouble of coming over here. All they need to do is just get Google, Facebook and Apple to sell their data. It's like a few dollars a person. No need to spy or travel, can stay home and get all the info you need. There should be buy links for it somewhere on their sites and will be far better than running around the country.

Land of the Free!

Some of you posters think the United States should be an imperialist power that doesn’t have to taste its own medicine. Perish the thought.
It's not so much about what's fair, but about logic. The US provides most of the key infrastructure required to run the most fundamental things. Just look at Microsoft, Google, Apple and the like and realize how most governments and corporations wouldn't even be able to run without American support.
In fact, most people in the world would be unemployed without the US.

I'm not even American and can tell you that. Expecting all countries to be treated equally in international politics is asinine.

Wow, looks like a lot of folks here are showing their true Democrat colors and not caring if Iran gets the bomb. Whatever you believe, Iranian culture is not equal to Western Civilization and they, along with Russia, China and other non-Western actors are not going to show the restraint we have nor will they use power to encourage the spread of Western classical liberal ideas and beliefs as the West does.

No, these people are not responsible and no they are not our equals.

Until, the US is surpassed as the dominant power, don't hold your breath. Nobody sanctions the US because they know darn well that they would cripple themselves in the process.

Lawmaker Blames Obama Cash to Iran as Cause of Spike in Iranian Spies in the U.S.
Are we supposed to be surprised a Republican politician blames Obama for something that is happening under GOP rule? Heck, I'd be surprised if he had said anything but, like propose a solution or something.

So, this is the problem: "Iran has been running "vast espionage and information operations in the United States" with virtual impunity. "

Whining about it, and trying to find someone else to blame will NOT solve the problem. And no, attacking FBI and US Intelligence won't solve it either. Trump admin has been kicking mud on their faces for almost two years, and now they wonder why we have Iranian spies running around everywhere.

We need people who will roll up their sleeves and tackle the issue.

So, what are these "Jewish" facilities on American soil? Are they referring to Israeli State owned military properties of some sort? Or are these Synagogues? Or are they the local corner Deli?

How were these Iranians spying? Were they set up with a beach umbrella peering through binoculars at anyone who bought a salami on rye? Or were the wiretapping a Israeli bomb site facility - here in America?

Why doesn't the article have these details? Does anyone know what "facilities" they are speaking of?

Edit:

Looking around, this article seems to indicate that at least one of the "Jewish" facilities is a church (Synagogue) and the spying consisted of watching the "security features." That's interesting... I didn't know that Synagogues had security features.

One of the "spies", is an American Citizen and the other is a US Resident. They must have blown through tens of those dollars that Obama let the Iranians have - yes, their own money - to be able to afford this spying.

This is certainly damning, but I think we need - we deserve far more information.

Edit 2:

https://abc7chicago.com/accused-iran...erous/4033604/

"Doostdar appeared in a federal courtroom in Chicago on Wednesday where he waived an identity hearing and will be transported to Washington as well. His attorney Tom Durkin ridiculed the government's case, calling it "preposterous."

"They took pictures all over Chicago and all over the University of Chicago that had nothing to do with anything" said Durkin. "The government trying to play geo-politics here, somehow suggesting he had some ax to grind with members of the Jewish faith is ridiculous."

It is suspected by their lawyer, that this case is about trump trying to bootstrap criticism of the Iran nuclear deal.

The US was party to a treaty also signed by other countries who were holding Iranian cash as well. This was Iranian money not the America's.

And it was the United States who reneged on the treaty not Iran, the AEC has confirmed that the Iranians have kept to the terms of the treaty.
