If they do that rents will go up way up as the landlords expense will go way up if they are long term owners .., or if under rent control landlords will be more motivated to get out of the rental business and redevelop into condos .

That’s going to actually make it worse for renters

You would put into the hands of foreign nations something as fundamental as food security?

As far as the economy it's the bedrock of any economy. You can't eat an Iphone.

Not good, she's married to a white man and many liberals consider that to be "self hatred, Stockholm syndrome, and race traitor"

Blacks aren't allowed to marry "the enemy" without serious consequences, liberals like to call them Uncle Toms.

That over production guarantees a reliable food source during lean growing seasons, that is the intention of the subsidy.

also something to keep in mind the millions of illegals in CA help to keep demand for rentals high and thus high prices ... of course nobody mentions this because it’s not politically correct to discuss any negative side effects of millions of illegals .

How much our farmers produce has absolutely nothing to do with obesity. even over eating has nothing to do with it. I guess if you lived in our country you might see it differently. We do not walk or exercise enough, we eat too much processed foods and like our sugar too much. That is where the obesity problem come in. It isn't the amount we eat but the way we prepare it that is the issue, but now we are getting off topic.

They will just bring back rent control. That's what they did years ago.

Run along.....nothing to see here.

That bill will never get out of chamber. By the time that could ever have a chance of passing, the dollar as a reserve currency will be so controversial that the concept of subsides in general will be persona non grata

Subsidies are a gravy train that will help fatten any population. I very much doubt the the US will run out of food without subsidies.

Cost does impact on how much a product is consumed or used.
