Indeed. Some would say that he purposely held onto his senate seat past the deadline where they could have had an election this year so the people can elect a new senator.
So now, instead, the Governor picks the person and there is a rumor he's going to give it to either McCain's Wife or Daughter.
In the grand scheme of things, why is that such a big deal with you, don't you have more important things to worry about, are you from that state, how is this directly affecting your daily life..
Patti Davis wrote an oped for the Washington Post comparing her dad's (Ronald Reagon) funeral with McCain's and about Meghan McCain's eulogy. Some of you people here who are attacking her and the pomp and glory of the week of grief need to read it.
Nobody's attacking what you're calling the "pomp and glory" of this funeral. What people noticed, because that was the intent, was Meghan McCain politicizing her father's service with unabashed, bombastic, vitriol.
In addition to that, every shot included a spectacle of her dry-sobbing and heaving. Her mom, her sisters, her brothers, and even her 106-year old grandmother displayed proper comportment.
Enough already with the tantrums and histrionics.Save it for The View. Even her mom looked as if she wanted to throw a net over her:
I'm with you. I say RIP Senator McCain, and I pray his family finds comfort and peace during this difficult time. But I haven't watched anything on his funeral. Or Aretha's, although I really liked her. I just don't care to watch televised funerals. Pretty simple, really.
They must have done a pretty good job, because they sure upset a lot Trump supporters here on this forum. That's when you know your plan worked just as you wanted it to, when you got his haters all outraged over a funeral.
Exactly! They can't stand the fact that McCain himself acknowledged his failings as did those who spoke at the funeral. He was respected by those who agreed and disagreed with him because of his humility, courage, and respect for others. He remained captured & tortured though he could have played the family card and been released. When he came home and his marriage ended in divorce, he admitted that it was his and only his fault. He supported his first wife and kids & paid for their college. The racist charge is false. He not only adopted a Bangladesh girl, but also defended Obama when a supporter called him an Arab. And as for Meghan's weight, it would appear that Trump has the same problem.
