I didn’t post the video. I’ve seen it. Cows head is moving and he is blinking.
Disgusting.

Normal butchery involves stunning the animal before killing it, which is the humane way. Muslims don't do that. I don't think I've heard PETA protesting Halal meat, which is strange.

OP, its called religious freedom, you might want to look into it sometime. the practice had been around since before the islam religion was created. every culture has certain dietary laws they follow per their religion.
in the end however, butchering any animal is a messy business, be it cattle, deer, or what ever. if you dont like seeing it, seeing where the meat you eat comes from, then dont watch it and go on with you life assuming that your meat comes from the supermarket.
I feel that this entire subject is disgusting. It is disgusting that you would post a link to such a video (even second hand), and probably even more disgusting that someone would put it out on the Internet and blame Muslims for it. Muslims also eat children. Yeah, right. I hate hate posts.
Muslims do not stun the animals before slaughter and they bleed them. These practices are unacceptable.

Halal and Kosher meat involves slitting the animals throat and it bleeding to death and not skinning it alive, which is unacceptable imho.
There is also nothing stopping the animal being stunned before this is carried out.
Stunning ensures animals are unconscious at the time of slaughter, so they cannot feel pain or suffer
Over 84% of such meat in the UK involves stunning the animal first and in the case of cows the fgure is 99%, and there is increasing presuure to make sure all animals are properly stunned before they are killed.
People are cruel and do things that are inhuman and unacceptable all the time. When people grow up, they'll stop doing it.
Developing compassion rarely occurs as a blanket application. It usually starts around a single event/experience. As such, it's foolish to tell someone, "Well, who are you to talk? Look at all the other ways you're ignorant of the suffering of creatures!"
How about praising people for recognizing and condemning this savagery and then encouraging them rather than shaming them into opening their eyes to other ways we needlessly force animals to suffer?

oh please, grow up. like i said, if you cant handle that the cow you see in the field eating grass today will be your steak tomorrow, then either become a vegan, or dont think about the animal in question. irregardless of whether the animal is stunned, or just outright killed, or bled in a religious manner, that animal is going to become food for people.
get over it. where do you think big macs come from?
oh and by the way, if you travel to england or scotland, dont eat the black pudding or the haggis, unles you dont mind consuming animal blood and animal lungs. in fact my advice would be to never leave the US to eat meat of any kind, i would also suggest staying away from the dairy products as well.

Jews will not bend on refusing to stun. Many Muslims will:

But contrary to what many assume, most animals killed by halal methods are stunned before slaughter. FSA estimates suggest that 88% of animals in the UK killed by halal methods were stunned beforehand in a way that many Muslims find religiously acceptable.
In many sheep and lambs this is by electronic stunning to the head or in poultry via a water bath electrified with enough power to make them unconscious but not to kill. Another method of stunning that involves cardiac arrest is not allowed under halal rules.

Kosher meat is never from stunned animals. From your link:

It can be considered permissible under Islamic law for the animals to be pre-stunned. In fact, around 84 percent of animals slaughtered in the UK by the Halal method are stunned first.
Shechita (Jewish) slaughter does not allow stunning of the animals before slaughter.
