Most people agree that the George Floyd video is very disturbing to watch. However, do you think this kind of thing is an isolated act done by a few bad cops? Or is racism and abuse of black people by America’s police a widespread phenomenon?
Have you even read the report from the Justice Department on the Baltimore PD? It is damning beyond belief.
Baltimore has a Black police chief and mayor and is a city that is predominately Black. So if Baltimore is racist towards Blacks, then who is to blame? Is that proof that police forces across the country are also racist? One doesn't follow the other.
Ohy yes, its definitely systematic, I remember talking to a few of the black kids who I went to Middle and high school with, (there were not many black people in my area at that time), it was VERY clear the police singled them out, when all of us started getting our drivers license, we got to talking later and the black kids said they were pulled over nearly every other day by police, most of the time, the cops just wanted to know where they coming from, or where they were going, Everyone was just used to this back then, everyone just obeyed and complied...
Looking back, that was WRONG, we should have done something back then about it.
