You must be really obsessed. There is no "white" race. Northern Europeans are the same race as Asian Indians, Arabs and Iranians and that is Caucasian. Notice the word Caucasian has the word Asian in it.
The word "Caucasion" derives from "Caucasus''; the Caucasus Mountains. The things is its doubtful that much of the Asian Indian population had even descended from the people of the Caucasus Mountains. In fact, certain tribes in India(as well as in Sri Lanka) have some of the same phenotypes as the stereotypical sub-saharan Africans, minus having straight hair. Also, in Russia, I believe being a Caucasian specifically refers to only the people from a country near the Caucasus region, such as Georgia. Ironically, these people have been victims of brutal attacks by nazi supremacists in Russia. You do not want to label yourself as a "Caucasian" when near these people.

There was a case back in the 1980s about a Black Egyptian man that is officially considered "white" according to census classifications, but he wanted to be considered as black. I think he is still counted as white to this day, and he doesn't even look it. North Africa covers a rather huge land area that is bigger than the USA, even people of Sudan would be classified as white by the census, although socially its a different case. The thing is with Arabs, North Africans, Middle Easterners(except for maybe Jews and some Lebanese, they are not seen as white on a social level, although they are on paper. They're an invisible minority.

It's funny how with all the talk of white privilege no one wants be classified as white even if they are over half European white if they can get around it, not even Fuaxahontas haha.
Being white doesn't mean you are a blonde Norwegian. White is for anyone whose race traces to the Caucasus region. You might not like it, but that Iranian (or Tunisian, or Afghan, etc) is just as white as any European. There are a lot of mixed race people in the world, and who really cares how they self-identity. India is where 3 major races diverge and it only makes sense they have enormous ethnic diversity. Some of those Indians are white, especially in the western regions of the country. The races are only going to get more and more mixed together. In reality, there is not much difference between races outside of appearances. Eventually we will do away with the census as an obsolete way to divide people.

Lots of Latinos and plenty of other people around the world consider themselves white.

It depends on what you're referring to when you say white-the Caucasian race or white as Europeans where most whites in American traditionally descended from. Race especially divided into only the 3 major ones is a very broad category. Europeans are on a cluster on one end of Caucasian and Central and some South Asians are on the other end and transitioning toward Mongoloid. There are huge differences within a race. There are significant differences even between Europeans and near and middle easterners.
But Caucasians originated from "Central Asia", Google "Caucasian Mountain" and see where it is -- that's east of Turkey in central Asia, not in Europe.
Your school was wrong, as there is only one race, human.
