People do not attend games to see protests, but rather as an entertainment diversion.

Hence, attendance from the protests on, has been down, and those empty seats will be an unwelcome annuity. NFL salaries are based on a % of revenue.

You know, right, that the New York Post is basically a junky tabloid?

Well, sounds great to me. I'd love it if people lost interest in football. Maybe they'll find more productive things to do, and maybe it will cut down on brain injuries.

Funny considering the article you cite is headlined "NFL’s problems run much deeper than the anthem issue"

I don't know why anyone would go to a football game considering watching it on TV is so much better.

Depends on the stadium. Most dome games I would agree, I would never skip a chance to go to Lambeau, Arrowhead or the CLink though. Hell, even FirstEnergy up in Cleveland is fun. I love outdoor football games and hardcore fans. Never been to a dome game that had the same feel.

And yet the NFL had record high revenues for 2017.

$ is all that matters, and the NFL is still raking it in. Sorry to burst your bubble.
