It's a shame you're apparently incapable of understanding the difference between hating a country and hating some of the asinine, uncalled for interventionist activities it's been involved in over the years.

The "we're here to help this country" at the end really hits you hard in terms of the desperation the words were said. Almost like he needed to believe it.

I was picked up yesterday by a Brazilian uber driver......

I gave him 5 stars and a tip.

He is a Trump lover...AND I am a Trump hater.......

That should at least tell you something. We had a dialog.

"Socialism" has a different meaning in S. America than it goes in Scandinavia. From his point of view, I understood his concerns...

Oh, on the way out of the door leaving the car he reminded me he was an American.

All Americans should mourn this day and place scorn on the villains who perpetrated it.
You sure it wasn't Russian collusion? We've been messy in places we should have for ages.

My parents are similar. They want to be American despite being immigrants.

Anyways, even in South America today, especially in poor area, libertarian socialism is very popular, and immigrants who come to America usually don't represent that faction.

Remember, the people who hate capitalism or the US government tend not to be the ones that come over.

On this day of remembrance I will be boarding a flight from Prescott to Denver taking off in 30 minutes. The flight is just over an hour but my thoughts will be with the victims of that tragic day in 2001. Today the flag should be at half-mast.

You do realize this is how America became a nation...right? It was basically a violent overthrow of a sitting govt.

My thoughts are with all those that died that terrible day, their families, and the heroic first responders and their families.

I think most Americans will be remembering the attack on the twin towers rather than events in Chile.

RIP - to all those who died as a result of Pinochet ad the attack on the twin towers.

It's also 17 years ago today that George W.Bush read his first book 'The Pet Goat', a feat still to be acheived by the current President.

Today, I am thinking of our longtime friend who died in Tower 2 and his family who adored him with all their hearts and our many former neighbors and coworkers who lost loved ones on this day. For the rest of my life, I will remember the lives that were changed forever on this day....9/11/01.
