Exactly! It not an easy feat to keep the entire US supplied with heroin on a consistent basis!! I would imagine the logistics of this are mind boggling!
US law enforcement depends on this dope reaching its destination though, without it drug arrests, cash and property seizures, etc would decrease.
The drug cartels need US law enforcement and Law enforcement needs the drug cartels, they work hand in hand so they both benefit. DEA ensures all drugs remain as illegal as possible, everyone does their part.

We have absolutely ZERO business being in Afghanistan or Iraq.
We have wasted billions upon billions of taxpayer dollars for this nonsense, most of that money simply vanished with no accountability or trace. When you have so many people in America who need food and housing, that is beyond obscene.
We are there because the bad guys who attacked us are not completely defeated. If we leavw the bad guys (aka radical Islamic terrorists) there they will simply take over the country and use it as a base to attack us again just like they did in 01. I don’t care if it takes 100 years we need to stay until the victory is complete.
If you feel that strongly in favor of it, you should volunteer to fight in that war. Act tough instead of just talking tough. Fight the war you so strongly believe in.

For those who think we can 'defeat the bad guys' by having a military presence there, you'd think 17 years would be enough to convince you otherwise. A sad waste of life, not to mention money.
