It's amazing this is where we are in 2018. The people running our country have no problem believing that an angry sky wizard causes hurricanes to punish America but it's considered nutty and crazy to accept actual science. And it just so happens that what God is angry about happens to be the same things the GOP can't stop obsessing about; abortion and homosexuality. If this were true, why do these kind of disasters typically happen in red states? Why does this "god" slam the Bible Belt over and over again with hurricanes and tornadoes to punish America for the sins of the blue states?

EDIT: To be fair, I also think blaming Trump specifically is ridiculous as he's just the product of a nation that places more value on bronze age superstitions than it does science.
Why does God have to be in the sky? Because Monty Python told you so?

Good Grief ...

Hurricanes are the same as they have always been.

What is different is how many more people are living in their path. More people and property equals more destruction.

We used to vacation on the Outer Banks every Summer when I was an infant and a young lad- late 60s and throughout the 1970s.

It was relatively remote and sparsely populated back then. Lots of open spaces with dunes and marshes. Fast forward to now and the place has 21st century development: Building thousands upon thousands of new vacation homes and the corresponding businesses, roads, and parking lots takes away the ability to absorb the hurricane's forces.

Same with New Orleans and Katrina. Plowing down the wetlands and pouring concrete eliminates nature's natural sponge.

It ain't God and it ain't Climate Change- It's Us!

They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot
With a pink hotel, a boutique
And a swinging hot spot
Don't it always seem to go
That you don't know what you've got
'Till it's gone
They paved paradise
And put up a parking lot

Talking We knew it was coming: Conservatives blame abortion and other "sins", not climate change for Florence

No surprise to anyone.

The poorly educated love tRump and hate science.

After all, MAGA is easier to spell than photosynthesis.

I report. You decide.

Default Liberals wield a ridiculously broad paintbrush against conservatives.

Not all conservatives and independent voters focus on the subject of abortion. In fact, most Americans are more concerned with government bloat, the economy, and individual freedom.

So no, despite the Soros-paid spin members here, the hurricane called "Florence" is not caused by abortion beliefs. Truly a ridiculous notion.

Blaming Trump, or even climate change, for a hurricane is idiotic. But not as idiotic as this guy's claim that it's sin that was the cause. Newsflash: Not everyone believes that what is written in a black book is the truth and the final word.

God used to live on top of a mountain until humans climbed that mountain. Then God moved to the sky. When airplanes were invented, God was forced to relocate to outer space. When humans got into space, God had to move again. Now he lives “outside” the universe or “just before” the Big Bang.

Tho I repped you for the ridiculousness of the guy's belief - I don't accept climate change either. Democrat here - highly educated - but if you actually look historically at the climate - the earth has gone thru these same situation many times before all the hoopla with climate change.
