You might want to read the GOP party platform. They'd hang you and your partner by the balls if they could get by with it. About 16 years ago, the Texas GOP platform pretty much said if the Lord lays it on your heart to kill a *****, you should not be prosecuted.
Ah the irony. A gay couple declaring their love for the GOP when the first page of the GOP platform says:
Our laws and our government’s regulations should recognize marriage as the union of one man and one woman and actively promote married family life as the basis of a stable and prosperous society. For that reason, as explained elsewhere in this platform, we do not accept the Supreme Court’s redefinition of marriage and we urge its reversal, whether through judicial reconsideration or a constitutional amendment returning control over marriage to the states. We oppose government discrimination against businesses or entities which decline to sell items or services to individuals for activities that go against their religious views about such activities. https://gop.com/platform/renewing-american-values/
And the same poster that married his Asian immigrant husband (that the GOP opposes), also said

It doesn't really matter, just funny.
Yet, Trump has been the first President to support gay marriage, whereas both Obama and Hillary were in actively opposed.

Good luck to ya.
It's ignorant people like you that keeps the Democrats on the losing side!

So the allegiance is to Trump, not the Republican party that wants to end gay marriage so much they put it on the first page of their written platform?
Because the thread title says "conservative citizen", not Trump supporter.

The answer is that we are Republicans with regards to the small or large r. Our underlying principles of economic reality would not bring us to support Democrats. And yes, we are loyal to President Trump as a friend of the gay community, but more importantly of the American community and of expanding wealth for all of us.
