Trump supporters will be ecstatic as they will feel vindicated and that justice has been served. Meanwhile to the rest of the country it will look like the Saturday Night Massacre. While Trump supporters are 100% certain the entire thing is a leftist conspiracy to overthrow the 2016 election and there is absolutely nothing in the world that could convince them otherwise, the rest of the country isn't so convinced.

How do you see things playing out if Trump fires Mueller? Do you think people will just forget about it and move on or do you think it will actually complicate Trump's problems?

LOL. No way.

If Trump fires Mueller, it will be the clearest indication yet of guilt and obstruction of justice. I gather that his staff keeps hammering at him not to try this, as it was what snowballed into Nixon's downfall.

I'm intrigued at your first sentence - that you think Trump supporters would feel vindicated by Mueller's firing. Surely any Republican who valued truth and justice would only feel vindicated by a thorough investigation that cleared him.

The A.G. or D.A.G. will end Mueller b/c they are the ones that can.

That's the way it works. As far as who is held accountable that's a different story.

The real question is what is there to forget ? We may never know. If Mueller does a report it may never be released to congress or the public. Who can forget something they never knew ?

What have I missed? Has President Trump threatened to fire him? I don’t watch MSNBC or CNN, is that your source?

Well Trump supporters are already completely certain that Trump is innocent and that the Mueller investigation is a deep state/leftist conspiracy to remove him. Fox News and hate radio promote that narrative 24/7. They want Trump to fire Mueller because to them, that's justice served.

Like you care. You're going to defend him no matter what he does, so stop acting like his morality or ethics is part of your support.

Trump will have to fire Sessions before he can fire Mueller, because Sessions is Mueller's boss and Trump isn't. N President can fire an employee. They can only fire members of their staff and cabinet.

Trump could always fire Sessions, replace him with someone else who then would fire Mueller, but when Nixon did just that during Watergate- it was called the Saturday Night Massacre- the firings created the Congressional investigation which ultimately drove Nixon out of office.

Since Mueller's investigation is near completion and Sessions was a Senator for a long time, making impeachment proceedings more likely, Trump won't fire either of them.

Mueller might go, but his investigation will remain, and one of Mueller's crew could take over without missing a beat. That's what happened to Nixon in Watergate. Replacements led the Watergate investigation.

Trump's cornered. If he begins firing people, he'll be impeached. The best he can do is grit it out and take his chances with the investigation's final report findings.

There aren't very many people who can connect Trump to any wrongdoing. Less than a handful, and some of them are his children. That's why Manafort's sudden plea bargaining is getting so much attention. Manafort is one of the few people who knew who was who when, and what they all said and did.
