He has Russian/Ukranian crime connections--
He won't point to those guys
And I think he might have held back stuff he knows that could help Mueller because he wants an ace in the hole in case there are serious threats...and not from Trump...
I caught your drift, there are no 'statutes of limitations' in those guys' books.
Why do lawyers think they can get away with crimes? Unless you are a Clinton or a Dem it's impossible.
The lesson is: Pay your taxes.
Trump is not a lawyer, yet still doesn't pay his taxes. He's cheated NY out of taxes by lying--I think he believes he can get away with it, even when advised by tax attorneys not to do it.
This surely does contradict some of the push back against the Steele Dossier doesn't it. Didn't 'they' (Trump camp) claim Cohen wasn't there at the time. Seems he was.
And I don't know if it means anything but why lie about it.
Not a fan of Trump's. Never thought he was guilty of collusion but all of this seems to imply there was something they felt they needed to lie about from the get go. Why?
Not convinced there will be any dramatic fall out.
I'm with the notion that the Mueller report will have no real consequences (jail time/criminal charges ) for Trump but that there will be information that is deemed concerning. That's why they tried to hide it. It could hurt him in 2020 because it raises the kind of concerns that folks have thrown around about the Clinton's -- sneaky dealings behind the scenes for personal gain.

yep. cohen even showed his passport ( and lack of czech stamp ) to try and prove this fact overlooking A): countries don't always stamp passport books and B): he could have arrived in another EU nation then traveled to the czech republic where a customs check wouldn't have been needed.

I don't think he even showed his whole passport, just one page.
If other major organizations are able to confirm that Cohen was there, it would be the biggest public break in the investigation so far.
If another news organization is able to corroborate the chatter that was picked up (Cohen was meeting Russians to discuss a way to hide information about their involvment), then we will be on the fast track to ousting Trump.
This was the main point made against the dossier, and if it is verified, the Steele Dossier will go down as one of the most important documents in American history.
I'm kinda curious how they would know that. I'm also wondering if the data could be falsified. It would be a bit hard to believe that Cohen travels somewhere that he doesn't want the world to know he traveled to, to meet with something he doesn't want to world to know he met, and yet he brings along his personal cellphone and turns it on.
